My 2025 Resolution - Become a Unicorn
Make 2025 Your Healthiest Year Yet - Here's How!

“You do not rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems”
How to make a resolution you can stick to = making a plan
I had a goal one year ago today - start a weekly newsletter. I was convinced it was the best way to build a community. I started putting all the pieces together on January 1 but it took me a few months to finally have everything ready to really get going. But I’m happy to say that about 40 issues later, it’s become a habit.
The book Atomic Habits is amazing. It helps us realize that it is the systems we put in place on a day to day and week to week basis that help us actualize our goals. Goals don’t just magically happen.
I think the difference between dreams and goals is defined by one thing - making a plan and splitting it up into digestible bites.
For me this past year it was building a healthy life into my daily and weekly life. I got really detailed - on my calendar is when and how much water to drink, when to work out, when to do sauna and cold plunge, when to take my wife on a date, when to play with my daughter, when to journal, when my wife and I plan to watch some tv and when we plan to read. It has changed my life!!!
Life for me is too insanely unpredictable to just hope the things that matter to me actually make it into my day. Work will find its way in but often healthy habits won’t and don’t.
So as we start a new year, I want to encourage you to take a few minutes in the next day or so on how you will create new habits and systems that if you stick with them you will reach your goal. Just saying you have a goal without a plan is a dream and a fantasy.
In the coming months I will be sharing about a new project I’m working on that is the greatest dream of my life and I am so thrilled to make it a reality. To do that, I have a few goals and checkpoints along the way to make it happen.
🦄 My Biggest Goal - Become a Unicorn 🦄
I have a plan in place over the next 4 months to become the most physically healthy I’ve ever been. But it’s not just my opinion that will count. I’m setting out to be able to measure it both internally with biomarkers and externally with dexascans and strength. Everyone wants to start or invest in a unicorn company (one that gets a valuation of $1 billion or more) but how many of us even know someone who we could say is physically a unicorn i.e. in insanely amazing health inside and out?! I’ve got systems on my calendar and new habits mapped out from when I sleep, to tracking my food to talking to experts on what it takes to be unicorn healthy. Stay tuned!
Write your Vision - Make it Plain
Whatever your goal may be - you need to write down new habits and systems that occur each and every day so that in a few months you are seeing you goals met.
If you want to be the healthiest you’ve ever been - I would encourage to you try 3 things:
1 - Your day starts the night before - Set a time to go sleep and wake up each day and stick to it no matter what. Ideally 10-6 or even better 9pm - 5am. Even on weekends. Sleep consistency is argued by some as the biggest way to change your health for the better. I just listened to Kristen Holmes and Gary Brecka make this point so clear - Listen Here.
2 - Track what you eat - Here’s what I’m using.
3 - Get active every day - 10,000+ steps every day. Whoop is my new best friend - Here’s one month free.
I’d love to hear about your goals - reply to this email and let me know. Then you will have put it out there and it becomes actionable and accountable!

I write this newsletter each week because I feel my best when my body, mind and soul are all healthy. I want the same for you. If you feel like you’ve seen something valuable here, please do me a favor and forward this newsletter to a friend or let me know what you think by replying or texting me - (310) 879-8441
