This simple fruit salad has been made with seasonal fruit in mind. There are a couple of reasons to buy fruit that are in season. For one, they tend to be less expensive than other produce because they are more plentiful, and two, they’re tasty. It feels good to get in the mood of a season by eating foods that remind you that it is that season.
For this recipe you will need –
2 bosc pears
2 gala apples
2 fuyu persimmons
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Peel your fruit and remove the seeds from the apples and pears.
Cut your fruit into 1/2″ pieces.
Add fruit and seasonings to the bowl and toss well.
The great thing about each of these fruits is that they are all pretty sweet on their own, so you don’t need to add sugar.
